Changes to Recipe. From previous try (24.10.14 (1) Dialing in The Steam & Co. on Wacaco Picopresso), upped the clicks to 1.6.0 on 1ZPresso JX-Pro for a courser grind.

Notes. A touch too bitter, way better than before, good coffee overall. Good body, perfect crema, hits the right organoleptic features.

While not perfect, this is now the go-to recipe for this combination. Saving it now as of now in the standard recipe page (Espresso with The Steam & Co., 1ZPresso Jx-Pro on Wacaco Picopresso). Since I could refine it, I’ll report it here now if the Reference Recipe changes in the future.

Procedure.

  1. Heat water in kettle;
  2. Grind The Steam & Co. Coffee with 1ZPresso JX-Pro with 1.6.0 clicks settings;
  3. Prepare coffee puck by using needle, screen and tamper;
  4. Pre-heat both Coffee Glass and the Wacaco Picopresso;
  5. Pump water through until you feel a bit of resistence from the puck (around ten pumps) and wait 10 seconds;
  6. After the pre-infusion, pump until you reach 32 g of coffee out.
